Indoor Activities
Hard Play Area
Our Hard Play Area is perfect for tiny toddlers up to young teenagers. It is a fantastic area for kids to have fun whilst learning about castles, medieval history, and treasures.
There is a castle complete with a network of tunnels, ramparts and slides, a rope bridge, climbing wall and our smoke-bellowing dragon!
No instructor required for this area as it is self-supervised by adults.

Climbing
A brilliant way for all ages to conquer fears, develop new skills and build confidence. Through teamwork and communication, the group will climb our various walls, with a range of difficulties suitable for all levels, boosting confidence and self-esteem.
Climbing is beneficial for many reasons: increasing confidence; enhancing communication; raising self-esteem; fostering team spirit, and achieving personal goals. These are all part of the development of important life skills.
Our Krazy Kong area is suitable for younger smaller groups of up to 10 and is designed as a series of fun auto-belays which encourage problem-solving, teamwork, concentration and even healthy competition. A vast array of themed walls gets your pupils climbing, with support systems that lower them back down to the ground afterwards.
Ages 5+
GCSE PE
Take your students beyond the sports hall and onto the wall with GCSE PE Climbing at KONG. Our specialist climbing programme is designed to support secondary schools delivering GCSE PE practical assessments in climbing, helping students develop confidence, technical ability, resilience and decision-making in a challenging but supportive environment. Outdoor Activities
Ghyll Scrambling
The best wet-weather activity in the Lake District! You’ll be guided down a Lakeland Ghyll (a steep narrow mountain river): sliding down chutes; diving into pools; jumping off waterfalls; and wading through the water.
Your pupils have an opportunity to learn about mountain river systems, drainage basins and geology, all whilst having an adrenaline-filled adventure day with our experienced instructors.
Ghyll Scrambling is run as a half day activity, therefore allowing a minimum of 3 hours depending on group size.
Ages 8+
Rock Climbing & Abseiling
This is the truly classic Lakeland outdoor activity. Your group will have a chance to get to grip with real rock, whilst learning basic rope skills.
Abseiling gives the group a chance to lower off a cliff face with a vertical drop.
These activities build confidence, teamwork, patience, communication and trust skills, just to name a few!
Located within the Borrowdale Valley; engrained with mountaineering history including the first ever recorded rock climb in the world, this activity is sure to captivate all types of groups.
Climbing/Abseiling is run as a half day activity, therefore allowing a minimum of 3 hours depending on group size.
Ages 8+
Mountain Walks & Scrambles
A guided walk up a Lakeland fell, offering a superb vista of views and local knowledge with interesting facts infused along the way.
The length and difficulty can be arranged to suit the group and weather. Navigational skills can also be taught.
