What is Climbing Hour?

Looking for a fun, focused climbing session to build your confidence and skills? Climbing Hour is a dedicated instructor-led session for anyone aged 14 and above, perfect for both beginners and those wanting to improve their technique.

During your Climbing Hour, you’ll get hands-on experience across all areas of our indoor climbing centre here at Kong Adventure in Keswick. Under the guidance of one of our experienced climbing instructors, you’ll spend time on:

• Roped Climbing – Learn the basics of belaying and climbing with ropes in a safe, supportive environment.

• Auto-Belay Walls – Get plenty of climbs in without needing a partner, perfect for working on endurance and technique.

• Bouldering – Practice climbing closer to the ground with no ropes, focusing on movement, strength, and problem-solving skills.

Our friendly instructors will tailor the session to your ability, giving you tips and challenges to help you progress — whether you’re climbing for the first time or looking to refine your skills.

Climbing Hour is also a great way to meet other climbers, build confidence on the wall, and make the most of your time in Keswick.
