Festive Season Newsletter

It’s nearly time to say goodbye to 2016, and look to what next year brings. We are all hoping to make the most of this winter, and so far predictions are good for a cold one. If you’re sharpening your tools, or getting out the micro spike for the runners, everyone is excited to see the white stuff. So without further ado:

What’s new?

What’s on?

9th December: Al Phizacklea Lecture.

The co author and climber of “Nowt but a fleein’ thing”, few have contributed more to climbing on the Iconic British mountain, Scafell. Come and listen to the stories behind the words, and get your copy signed by the man himself!

18th December: Dynafit Winter Fell Race 2 “S.O.B.”

Come and join us for our second race! A good fun day out for everyone who likes a run! 11am from the Coledale inn, entry is a mere £5.

23rd December: Santa’s Grotto and advent light switch on.

Bring the kids down to meet Santa! With some hard play, festive snacks and Christmas fun! £5 per child, 4pm-6pm.

7th January: Salewa Dry Tooling Competition Round 4.

You know the drill by now! Rock up for an afternoon of figure fouring madness and a axe popping good time! With the race for the series title still all to play for serious competitors are sharpening their picks. If you do just want to come down and have a crack, feel free! Starts at 4pm, entry is £10. Gear available for hire!
